Vitamin C is vital for your immune system especially for allergy sufferers. When to take Vitamin C Chewable Tablets

It is best to cut the tablets in half for maximum absorption and much more cost effective. Any excess Vitamin C that is not absorbed is excreted in the urine (when your urine is yellow). Vitamin C should be taken with food as this is better for absorption, less acidic and gentler on the stomach.

If your urine is still yellow this means that you may not be absorbing and need to refer to the Lifestyle Guides for further information or just too much for your body in one go. Cut the tablets down to a quarter and you will find that this may be more economical until your absorption has picked up. The last thing you want to do is throw money down the toilet!

Suggested Dose

  • Adults – Take half a tablet (500mg) with meals 3 times a day
  • Allergies, stress and the onset of a cold take an extra half a tablet (500mg) with a small snack.
  • Children 3-12 years – chew a quarter of a tablet (250mg) with meals twice a day.
